I tried to write my comment in between calls at work and I realized after I clicked the "Speak!" button that it didn't make too much sense. You and Chad are wonderful people and all you need is to just keep being yourselves with each other. Here's some positive advice from your 41-year-old divorced friend: you're on the right path. It takes two people to make a marriage work and both my wife and I are at fault. It's what we didn't have that I want to point out. Real connection. Being around you and Chad has been good for me and seeing you two together and hanging out makes me happy. You two get along as people first and foremost and you treat other people kindly. You've seen me at my not-so-best, I make a lot of dumb jokes (I just can't help it) and you're still my friends. That started over a year ago and helped me rediscover the confidence I had lost in my marriage. Let's just say my ex-wife didn't have a great sense of humor. Fortunately, my girlfriend now does and I've never felt more totally at ease with someone. Be yourself no matter what and you'll find happiness. I agree with you...I know a lot of married couples, too, and more are not happy than are. I was one of them. And I know why. And you hit on it in your blog post.
