He’s a Big Boy now

Buddy Jermain Winston McComsey is two years old today. Although he can not speak, if he could I’m sure he’d say he has the best life EVER! Chad, A.K.A. Daddy, wrote a wonderful post below about the coming of Buddy. He nailed it. On the day I brought Buddy home, I told my friend Nancy that I would come see the pup and take it from there. I was so worried that Chad was not ready to be in love with another puppy. When I walked in to Nancy’s house I scanned the room till I spotted him! OH MY GOSH! I’ll TAKE HIM. Nancy knew how upset Chad was and I was doing her a favor so she didn’t even charge me a dime. As I drove home Buddy whimpered and made little noises. I talked to him and told him where we were going, who I was and who he was going to meet. I love surprising Chad but I was afraid this one would backfire, I did it anyway. I put Bud’s in my sweater and I hiked up the stairs. Chad tells the rest wonderfully. After a week or two we encountered a problem. The lease stated that we could not have dogs under a year old in the apartment we lived in. This was not good. The place we lived was considerable cheap and to move would be a big risk. Knowing the pros and cons Chad did not flinch, he was not getting rid of Buddy, instead he searched and searched for a bigger, better place. That brings me to our current home. Buddy had a little separation anxiety as a pup in our new home. We went through several stages to help him cope. Then one day he just accepted our routine and now he goes into his kennel with out being told and waits for us to go to work in the morning. I can’t express the happiness he has brought into everyone’s life! I’m glad you were born Buddy!
